As you can see, I’m deeply in love with my Filofax. I drag it along everywhere I go. I don’t only use it to write down all my appointments, meetings & fun dates, but I also use it to brainstorm, tell it all my dirty little secrets (if any), write down my future blogposts, doodle here and there, keep track of what I’m up to,… I’m totally lost without it! Can’t remember a thing. Yes, I’m that kind of person… I’ll double or triple book things on the same date if I don’t have it with me. Heck, don’t even ask me what I’ll be up to next week, I DON’T KNOW!

FILOFAX TO THE RESCUE! It’s nice to get my life organized. I’m not as fortunate as my friend Michael, who uses his lovely wife as a diary. “I’ll tell Mariko, she’ll remind me when we’ll meet up next.” Way to go! But dude, it’s great if it’s working out for you that way.
Not for me though, as magical as she looks… sadly enough my companion – my dog Yoko – is only able to bark and snore… and well, fart. But that’s not really helpful now, is it?

So, Filofax it is then. I love the way I can shift pages. I really used to be a post-it freak, but since I have this little baby, I don’t have to drown myself in those tiny little papers anymore. I’m not a notebook kind of person, you see. I like to keep those neat-looking & clean, but I like to tear out pages if I ruin them with my handwriting. Maybe that’s the autistic side of me. So I guess that’s why I’m not a Moleskine kind of gal, although I do LOVE their design; it’s so slick and clean…

This year, I rather don’t want to spend my budget buying myself a new Filofax. But no worries, there are even more fun times ahead! Let me tell you, I’m going to pimp the hell out of my Filofax! No diary/Filofax yet? Buy one at the Filofax website or your local bookshop. This a good tip: if you’re on a budget, Ebay is a nice place to find beautiful Filo’s, some at insanely cheap prices… even some vintage & limited edition. Go for it! Let’s get organized together!

As we’ve said goodbye to 2011, I’d like to reflect on it one more time.

2011 – Planting seeds (& shoots) for 2012 Visiting NYC, again & again! Starting to balance 2 jobs Creating a new beautiful website together with Jarne (soon to be updated) Meeting new, lovely people! (mostly Americans… Hello there, you know who you are!) Making smashing birthday plans Growing my hair (on my head… that is) This time, I can do it! Dreaming about that bikini-proof body next summer (It’s a great motivator) Moving out of my way too expensive apartment Moving into my brother’s house, not having to stress out about the finances Polaroid fun! Discovering my love & addiction for Pinterest Participating some fun events & parties! Celebrating 1000 likes on Facebook Photographing love doves on their special day; it’s always such an honor … & last but not least; my lovely friend ‘Amy’ gave birth to little ‘Maurice’ on december 31. What a great way to start the year!

2012 is going to be splendid, I can feel it! Bring it on!

I love to throw parties & celebrate with friends, even if there’s nothing really to celebrate. I invited my closest girlfriends to meet up at my place for one last time, before the big move. Nearly nothing left except a table, chairs, flags & decorations, drinks & polaroids! Who said you can’t party while moving?

After some drinks & the delicious fingerfood (thank you, Suma!) it’s time to strike a pose! We took many…. MANY photo’s, so I can mail it to them for X-mas. Aren’t they the best?
